How to Enter the Prison in Deep Dish Dungeon

To enter the prison, find the Prison Key in the basement rooms opened with the Iron Key, then take the unflooded spiral staircase down from the upper hub and unlock the webbed door. The route comes from October 2026 player guides and reports; their exact builds and platforms are not specified.

Get the Prison Key below the hub

The Prison Key and the Small Key for the upper route are different items. The Prison Key is in a chest in the basement branch reached through an Iron Key door.

  1. From the hub, use the Hammer to break the bars at the foot of the basement stairs. Follow the opening to the smelting room.
  2. Use the forge to make the Iron Key. Explore the room opened with it and take the Prison Key from the chest farther inside.
  3. Keep the Prison Key for the barred entrance in the spider area; do not confuse it with the Small Key used on the way there.

Reach the webbed entrance

From the hub stairs, explore the left passage to find a Small Key near its far end. Use a Small Key on the upper door behind the stairs, then descend the spiral staircase rather than taking the flooded staircase.

Burn the web blocking the route with a torch and use the Prison Key on the door. Beyond it, explore the cells and look for the first broken lever.

Two different repairs inside

The first broken lever needs an Iron Rod. Use it to open the way to the stairs; a later large room has three levers and a separate mechanism that needs Chains before its door can open.

Patch 1.0.50.0 fixed the missing “Bring Chains to Fix it” prompt for the prison mechanism. If a mechanism asks for Chains, do not assume that it is the earlier Iron Rod lever.
