THE FIELD GUIDE / REFERENCE

Deep Dish Dungeon Item Reference

Start with what you need the item to do: Corn goes into food, Clay is a building material, a Pickaxe clears goo piles, and the Silver Dagger can hurt hostile apparitions. Gold Nugget, Medicine Bottle and Queen Crown are distinct treasures with their own return locations. This reference covers the entries linked to guides here; it is not a count of every item in the full game.

Ingredients and building materials

Food ingredients and construction materials have different jobs. Keep Corn for meals; collect Clay when you need to build.

Corn is a cooking ingredient; the Corn Gem is a different treasure used with the other Gems at the sanctuary. Do not spend time looking for an edible “gem” when a recipe asks for Corn.

ItemWhat it doesWhere to start
CornAn ingredient for dishes, including Deep Dish PizzaFind a prison chest or explore the fountain area
ClayA material used to build equipment such as a SmelterBreak sewer goo piles with a Pickaxe

Tools and weapons

Bring the right tool for the task: a Pickaxe breaks goo piles, while the Silver Dagger can damage hostile apparitions.

The Pickaxe patch note does not give its ingredient costs. Check the recipe in your own version. For the Dagger, a Vision Elixir can reveal ghosts; it is separate from the Medicine Bottle treasure.

Treasures and where they go

These are separate named treasures, not interchangeable gold, medicine or equipment items. Player guides describe returning them as part of a larger secret-ending task.

Gold Nugget and Gold Coins are different treasures. Medicine Bottle is the treasure given to the ghost; the Vision Elixir is the separate drink used to see them. Patch 1.0.50.0 says the host can recover a lost treasure through the Catalogue.

How to read the names and version notes

The entries above use names supported by the cited guides and official notes. Similar words do not automatically mean the same object: Corn and Corn Gem, or Gold Nugget and Gold Coins, have different uses. A name without a supported identity is not added as an alias.

The individual item routes draw on October 2026 player records; their exact builds and platforms are not always stated. Steam patches 1.0.50.0 and 1.0.51.0 explicitly changed some crafting and recovery behavior. The earlier demo’s item count is not a full-release item count.
