Deep Dish Dungeon Broken Lever: Iron Rod or Chains?

The first broken lever inside the prison takes an Iron Rod; the separate mechanism beside the later three-lever door takes Chains. The route comes from October 2026 player reports and a guide; their exact builds and platforms are not specified.

Repair the first prison lever

After the webbed prison entrance and the locked door, explore the cells. The broken lever on the route farther in is repaired with an Iron Rod; operate it and go down the stairs behind the opened door.

The lever is in the prison route. The similar-sounding chain repair is also in the prison, but it is a different mechanism farther along.

Bring Chains to the three-lever room

In the later webbed room, the mechanism beside one lever needs Chains. A chest reached through the webbed cave beyond a rope contains Chains. Bring them back, repair the mechanism and operate the three levers to open the door.

The official 1.0.50.0 notes say the prison mechanism’s missing “Bring Chains to Fix it” message was fixed. Check the object you are interacting with: a rod for the first lever does not replace the Chains for this mechanism.
